Start-up Law

The concept of a Start-up refers to a form of a Start-up that emerged in connection with the rise of Silicon Valley. Centered around Stanford University, this IT hub has had a major impact on the world’s technological development since the 1970s. At this point, the belief in technology in the development of humanity and the idea that the internet can change the world have caused Start-ups to be considered as a social phenomenon beyond being just a business venture. This period also marked the beginning of the professionalization process regarding Start-up Law. For example, in 1996, preliminary studies were published on the first debates on Start-up Law, based on the experiences in Silicon Valley.
