THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF TURKISH PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION BOARD ON EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER WITH THE VERBIS SYSTEM

Pursuant to Article 16 of the Code No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, real persons or legal entities processing personal data shall register with the Data Controller’s Registry before processing.

LIABILITIES OF MEMBER OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT JOINT STOCK COMPANIES WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW IN TURKEY

Article 3 of the said Code defines the Data Controllers as real persons or legal entities who are responsible to set out the objectives of processing persona data, establishment and management of data registration system within the meaning of Law. In practice, for the  Joint Stock Companies, the company itself is deemed as Data Controller and is obliged to get registered at the so called (‘‘VERBIS’’) Data Controllers’ Registry Information System.

Kerim KOCAMAN, who graduated from the University of Ankara Law school in 2017, is currently completing her legal internship at Iplikcioglu Law Firm in Istanbul. Academic students can continue while they are at university while continuing their legal internship.

He has worked in maritime law, health law, banking law, commercial law, real estate law, broadcasting law, contracts law and inheritance. He took part in regional and national projects related to his fields of work. He contributed to the studies of laws, circulars and regulations that had national effects on the fields in which he worked.

International Political and Sociological Organizations, including the International Accreditation Bodies, are in long personal fields of study.
